Here are the directions for our day trip next Wednesday 19th July, to explore the trees in Canterbury Cemetery, as recommended by the guest speaker at our AGM, Owen Johnson.
The plan is to meet at 2.30 at the main entrance (on the south side of the Cemetery).
The main entrance on Westgate Court Avenue. There is parking in the streets to the south of the Cemetery. There is a small visitors’ car park to the rear (which is often full) accessed via Cherry Garden Road to the north of the Cemetery.
For those following SatNav the postcode for the main entrance is CT2 8JL.
From the A2 take the Canterbury / Harbledown exit onto A2050 into Canterbury. At the roundabout take the first exit into London Rd, then turn second left into Temple Rd. At the T-junction turn left into Bishops Way and then right onto Davidson Road. At the T-junction turn left into Westgate Court Avenue and the main entrance to the Cemetery will be on your right.
